The hot new T-shirt in Cape May is titled, “Capemaniac”. For many visitors their trip to Cape May is a ritual, an old habit that is too good to break.

Many have a predetermined plan nurtured and edited over years to provide the perfect getaway.  This may include a walk on the Washington Street Mall or a bike ride to the Cape May Point lighthouse.

For some it is all about “that” store or restaurant. This year has brought some changes. Tisha’s restaurant has been a mainstay of Beach Ave for years. Tisha’s restaurant provided great food with a picture perfect view of the ocean. The convention hall projected forced a move and now the restaurant has moved from the beach to the Washington Street Mall.

Tisha’s restaurant reopened on Friday July 23,2010. Two of our guests here at the Bacchus Inn Bed & Breakfast went to dinner last evening. They loved the ambience and were pleasantly reassured from their dining experience that Tisha’s is still a fine Cape May restaurant. The breakfast ritual at the Bacchus Inn is a review of  the previous night’s dinner. Jim and Joanne,longtime repeat guest, wanted everyone to know …that the new Tisha’s still has the great food while set in an elegant dining room”. So if you loved Tisha’s before on Beach Ave then try it again at its new location on the Washigton Street mall. If you have never been to Tisha’s restaurant then you should make a point to try one of the more refined spots of Cape May.

Tisha’s restaurant has a new neighbor, Bath Time. Bath Time was formerly located across from Swain’s hardware. Now it is conveniently located on the Washington Street Mall. Bath Time  specializes in custom scented bath salts but it also has other supplies for the bathroom.

Both Tisha’s and Bath Time have been long time businesses in Cape May.  They are a custom part of many visitors Cape May experience. Now they are very convenient neighbors to visit on the Washington Street Mall.
